How prepared are you?

I recently en-counted an event 3 days ago. While leaving my workplace. as I was cycling along. I heard a woman's scream or rather a shriek. finding a guy running from a group of women empty handed towards a a motorcyclist who was waiting for him.

That time I was just 2 meters away from his motorcyclist friend just wondering and confirming was was going on. He looked at me, showing a "nothing" hand sign. i sort of guess has happened but inside me sort of refused to believe it and still waiting to confirm it. they rode away as i was staring at them.

I later went to check up with the women. Found out that, it was a snatch thief attempt, but the guy failed so. Even though it was a relief, I realized that i wasn't doing my part relief the incident when i was there. i found myself giving myself excuses saying that the 2 guys where bigger and well built, but still i didn't do what i should be doing.

By the time I've decided what should be done, it was over.

May the Lord forgive me and those guys and bless those women.

So how prepared are we when unexpected things that we already knew what we should do happens?

Thinking of this also reminds me of the second coming of Christ. How prepared are we when He comes.

Great Eastern 30K 2009

Last Sunday, I join in the Great Eastern 30K run. That day so happen was the birthday of one of my Church cell group sisters.

As usual I only manage to train about 1st a week since November.
The crowd before flag off.

A view while passing along Persiaran Tunku.

Bump into a GT3.

Throughout the whole race, i got 8 other runners commented me of my 2.5l bottle tumbler. soe even offered me to leave my bottle behind while they look after it. These had me thinking why telling me now of the previous 3~5 races i've done with it.

however it doesn't really matter as I found that the water bottle has helped some other runners who where behind, and we did has some nice chat along while finishing the race. Which I felt that God have sort of gave me a purpose to bring it along.

During this period (about 18KM), my knee has become seriously obviously very very achy.

After 7~10km worth of "crawling" finally see that I can stop.

Luckily, they where still much medals and food coupons and T-Shirts left even though we finished last. Well at least it was much better that Malakof 12km which i did last December where runners where forced to queue up for half hour to refreshments and much better that Mizuno wave run where we have to queue up to the FINISHING LINE (Where on earth can you find a race where you need to QUEUE UP DURING the RACE?)

Overall, the route has changed, and my clock time has deteriorated compared to last year. I managed to do about 4:18 (that's 50 minutes behind qualifying time) that time, while this time i think like i done an extra 10 minutes but felt like half and hour.

Next month wont be participating any races due to as I have duty in ministry in Church.

Trying out skill

As seen this is taken during the new year from my previous post with inspiration of making a panorama picture.

But i also know that there is still a long way to go to do a good image stitching. What I've involved here is using photoshop with plenty of image distortion.
Still yet to finish workout on the color between the images. Other parts of possible areas of improvement would be more steady hands while handling the camera, and much slower angle turning to get more images taken in order to create a smoother transition.
